The 2nd edition of the ”10 Million Trees Marathon” at Lukenya University, Mtito Andei, Makueni County, held on March 23rd and 24th, 2024, was a resounding success.
With over 400 participants, including the inaugural Black Mamba bicycle races, the event drew elites, fun runners, and international athletes from across the country. Participants were rewarded with both prize money and participation medals for their contribution to the noble cause.
On the 23rd, March a fruitful tree planting day led by our Pro- Chancellor Dr. Prakash Heda and BOT Chair Hon. Sylvia Kasanga saw over 500 tree seedlings planted by the university community and corporate sponsors such as Greenlife Crop Protection, Rentco Africa, Lukenya Schools, Petro City, Family Bank, DT Bank, Galana Oil, and others. next years event is scheduled for 30th March 2025.
