Dean of Students’ Office

The Dean of students’ office works to ensure students welfare in the University is catered for. The office works with other related offices to ensure students’ well-being is attended to. The offices that work closely with this office include; the Guidance and Counselling office, Sports, games and clubs office, Chaplaincy office, Accommodation office as well as the welfare and career offices. The university recognizes the need for a healthy community and has offered several mess/cafeterias that provide nutritious meals  to both students and staff at optimum rates. Healthcare in Campus

Clinic hours

The university has a health centre that is equipped to serve the needs of the university and the neighbouring community. For students, visiting the health centre is usually everyday at 7.am and 6pm. Emergencies are dealt with immediately as they occur.

Ambulance services ;;

The university ambulance service is available 24 hours a day and the hospital of referral is Makindu Level 5 hospital.

Clubs & Activities

The University offers students with a variety of clubs and sports. Some of the most active clubs in the university include the mentorship club, environmental club, geography club, drama and theatre club, science club and agriculture club.

The university also offers the following sporting activities, basketball, handball, netball, football, rugby, table tennis, lawn tennis, volleyball and athletics. These games are available to both ladies and men.

 The Lukenya University participates in and out of campus activities. For example, the KUSA- Kenya university sports association organised games and sports that run through from September to April. Clubs organise field trips and excursions as well as symposia in and out of campus.

Chaplaincy

Lukenya university observes the right to worship and access spiritual nourishment. Currently, there are active groups that comprise of the Christian union, Young Christian Association-YCS, Seventh Day Adventist-SDA and the Muslim Association. All the groups have separate places of worship and access to spiritual guidance.
