The Lukenya University environment club hosted an afternoon of poetry, vlogs art , skits and musical pieces , with the theme , CALL TO EARTH DAY .The students showcased various themes on environment protection , recycling , water conservation and sustainable farming .
Climate change and global warming present us in Africa with unique challenges, which if we don’t rise up to meet through interventions will affect livelihoods. The event was organised by Dr .Wafula and was graced by the Vice chancellor and Board of trustee member- Dr David Kasanga. After a rather warm afternoon of presentations students and staff all proceeded to plant over 200 trees in the library gardens .
