Library Week at Lukenya University officially began on Monday with a vibrant celebration of knowledge, creativity, and mentorship.

The opening day came alive with captivating performances from the Drama Team, energetic dance routines, creative modelling, and exceptional artistic presentations — all reflecting the University’s commitment to deepening knowledge and strengthening the culture of reading.

We were honored to be joined by the University leadership and community, including:
• Ag. Vice Chancellor – Dr. Judith Wafula
• Deputy Vice Chancellors – Dr. Virginia Mwanzia and Prof. Ibrahim
• Lukenya University staff
• LUSA leadership

A key highlight of the day was the impactful Mentorship Session on Guidance and Counselling, which inspired both our students and visiting learners from Darajani High School and Lukenya University Community School.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished guests, Fred Tunya from the Mastercard Foundation and Prof. Chacha from Laikipia University, whose presence and insights greatly enriched the occasion.

As a token of appreciation, presentations were made to our guests, alongside an extensive showcase of books — reaffirming the library’s central role as the heart of knowledge and academic excellence.
