Isuzu East Africa Supports Lukenya University’s Green Vision
We were honoured to host Dr. Musyoka from Isuzu East Africa during his recent visit to Lukenya University. Representing Isuzu, Dr. Musyoka reaffirmed the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability by announcing the donation of two 10,000-litre water tanks to the university.
This generous contribution is a significant boost to our Ten Million Tree Planting Initiative, which aims to promote environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture—particularly in arid and semi-arid regions where water scarcity remains a major challenge.
The donation will directly benefit our nursery operations by ensuring a steady water supply for seedlings, thereby enhancing our efforts in resilience-building and environmental restoration.
During his visit, Dr. Musyoka—himself a distinguished and innovative farmer—engaged extensively with faculty and staff from the School of Agriculture and our farm management team. He generously shared expert insights on:
-
Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming
-
Dragon fruit cultivation
-
Fruit tree farming
-
Horticulture practices
-
Modern irrigation systems
His practical knowledge and forward-thinking approaches left our students and staff inspired and better equipped to tackle agricultural challenges with innovative solutions.
To commemorate the occasion, a symbolic tree planting ceremony was held. Dr. Musyoka and the visiting team also revisited the tree planted jointly with Isuzu in 2023—now thriving as a proud symbol of partnership, growth, and shared environmental goals.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Isuzu East Africa for their continued support and look forward to nurturing this meaningful collaboration.
